I’m home in Jersey after a year in Australia. I’ve been home for a week already and it is weird. It’s been quite overwhelming and disorienting.
Stuff like not being able to find things in the house I’ve lived in for almost 20 years or getting confused on how to get somewhere on the island (an island that I’ve lived on my entire life and it’s about 9x5 miles) or most of my belongings got moved to storage when my sister moved home. I’ve also started a new job (which is going well so far).
It’s just been a lot to process.
Travelling and living in Australia was awesome - I’m sure you know how much I love Australia if you read my blogs. I feel like Aus is more my home than Jersey is now but I’m sure I’ll settle back into island life after a few more weeks.
I’m looking forward to the summer ahead and I’m already planning my next set of travels which is exciting.
